P went down to the "fish market" and bought some crab. He puts them on ice to "put them to sleep" he says. That's so he can rip their guts out without getting pinched. Then he steams and shells them. Obviously a stinky process. The varmints are still hanging out on our back patio.

p: the crabs go for about $1 per pound. they are not in big demand. I think that's a muslim thing maybe.
the stray compund cats are a daring bunch. i missed a priceless picture of one knawing on a crab claw.
